Dear Stanton County Schools Patrons,
It is my pleasure to serve the community as the USD 452 Stanton County Schools Superintendent. It has been an exciting start of a new job! As the Board of Education, administrative team and I continue to plan and prepare for the 2015-2016 school year, we welcome your input. It is our goal to provide a quality education to every student; to prepare them for their future learning and work place. Thank you for all the warm-wishes and welcomes to town! I appreciate the friendly people and happy children I meet when I am out-and-about. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and gain understanding and background knowledge of Stanton County Schools.
I would like to share a little about my educational background with you. I grew up on a farm between Stafford and Pratt counties. After graduating from Pratt High School, I attended Kansas State University for two years then transferred to Texas A&M University. I graduated with a degree in elementary education and a minor in mathematics. I taught 4-6th grades for nine years in the St. John-Hudson district in central Kansas. I received a Masters in School Administration from Ft. Hays State University and have numerous graduate hours towards my Doctorate in Education. As an administrator, I have served in Burrton, Mullinville, Ottawa, and most recently, the Augusta School District. I am married to Dave Novack, Supt. of Ingalls School District. Together we have eight children and sixteen grandchildren.
I am PASSIONATE about public education and preparing students for whatever goals they set for their lives. They deserve our very best performance every day! It has been an honor to be recognized over my thirty-year career as a Kansas Teacher of the year nominee, a Kansas National Distinguished Elementary Principal, the principal of Garfield Elementary School, a National Blue Ribbon School Award and Panasonic National School Change Award recipient. The most rewarding part of my job getting to know every individual, his/her skills and talents, and preparing him/her for the future. It is my honor to serve as the Stanton County Superintendent of Schools. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to work with you, and for your children! Please call me, or better yet, come see me in person to share your passion for education!
Yours in Education,
Kim Novack, Supt.
